Cotton-blend sediment filter
Catches rust, sand and pipe debris before water reaches your skin. Cotton-blend pre-filter, lasts approximately 2 months, replace as a 3-pack.
Transform Your Shower, Transform Your Skin & Hair
Say goodbye to dry skin, dull hair, and harsh water. The PICKI NIKI filtered shower head removes chlorine, rust, and impurities, infusing your water with vitamin C for a spa-like experience every day. Skin-compatibility tested by an independent dermatology lab (P&K Skin Clinical Research Centre, n=30, non-irritant). Reduces chlorine and limestone build-up while keeping water pressure high.
Upgrade your shower today and feel the difference from the first wash!
Hard, mineral-rich water can be a burden on skin and hair. The PICKI NIKI filtered shower head is engineered to soften water using advanced filter technology.
It effectively softens the water and reduces the calcium and magnesium content – the culprits behind hard water.
Use against hard water: ascorbic acid binds with magnesium and calcium minerals, making them water-soluble. They can now be washed away, leaving no more residue on skin, hair or in the shower cubicle.
The lime, calcium carbonate (CaCO3), combines with ascorbic acid (C5H5O5CH2OH). The product is CO2 (carbon dioxide gas that simply goes into the atmosphere), H2O (water) and Ca(C2H3O2) (calcium acetate, which is water-soluble).
Use against chlorine: Reduces residual chlorine to non-detectable levels (KEWI lab test).
One gram of ascorbic acid neutralizes 1 milligram per liter of chlorine per 100 gallons of water. The reaction is very fast.
C5H5O5CH2OH + HOCL → C5H3O5CH2OH + HCl + H2O
Ascorbic acid + hypochlorous acid → dehydroascorbic acid + hydrochloric acid + water
About 2.5 parts ascorbic acid are needed to neutralize 1 part chlorine. Since ascorbic acid is weakly acidic, the pH of the treated water can drop slightly in weakly alkaline water. Slightly acidic water is perfect for the skin barrier, scalp and hair.
Look forward to a change for softer skin, silkier hair and a shower that feels like a gentle waterfall.
Our filter is not just a tool, but a treasure trove of skin-friendly ingredients.
Enriched with vitamin C, it neutralizes chlorine and makes your water pure and gentle. But that's not all – we have also added other natural elements known for their cleansing properties.
Every shower becomes a nourishing ritual that provides your skin and hair with essential nutrients, transforming your daily routine into a pampering spa experience.
Ascorbic acid (vitamin C): ascorbic acid, better known as vitamin C, is used here for its antioxidant properties. Vitamin C is a radical capture agent and has an antioxidant effect (so it acts as a reducing agent).
Combats hard water: ascorbic acid reacts with and dissolves magnesium and calcium minerals into water-soluble compounds. They can now be washed off and no longer leave residues on skin, hair or in the shower cubicle.
Glycerin: is used for its high moisture absorption, its occlusive properties (protects the skin from aggressions) and its emollient (for smooth skin and hair).
Collagen: is a very important protein molecule in the human body and a major component of the skin. It has the function of supporting the connective tissue of the skin like a scaffold, which makes the skin elastic and supple.

Ascorbic acid reacts with chlorine on direct contact - a fast redox reaction that accelerates at warm shower temperatures, and reacts with calcium and magnesium so hard water stops drying out skin and hair. Lasts ~2 months with a visible end-of-life as the gel is consumed.

P&K Skin Clinical Research Centre. Primary Skin Irritation Test. Seoul, Korea. 2023.
Independent open-label, single-arm 24-hour patch test on Vitamin C filter material. n=30 (28F/2M, mean age 47.2 years). Skin Irritation Index 0.03 (range 0.00-0.25 = non-irritant). Zero adverse events. Frosch and Kligman + CTFA + Draize protocols, COLIPA Walker 1996 guideline. Sample size and design are appropriate for a tolerability/irritation screen, not a clinical efficacy trial.
Korea Environment and Water Works Institute (KEWI). Residual Chlorine Removal Test. Seoul, Korea. 2020.
100 L synthetic water at 0.19 mg/L free residual chlorine, passed through Vitamin Filter. Outlet: not detected. Flow 2.52 L/min. T = 21-23 degrees C.
Note: real shower conditions are typically higher pressure and warmer than this laboratory test. The Vitamin C gel cartridge is engineered as a self-regulating system: higher pressure releases more Vitamin C from the gel matrix, and higher temperature accelerates the chlorine-neutralisation reaction. Under typical shower conditions these dynamics are expected to keep real-use performance broadly comparable to the laboratory result.
